VIbrance The Arts: Press

“A long time we not have no good, good, good roots music out there.”
“Yes I!  Give thanks for the blessed music and message Serenity resonating through Empress Cherisse.”
#5 on the charts.
One of the top 10 albums for the year 2007.
Love the "Merkaba". This album should be flying off the shelves, or downloaded a million times over. Any musician or serious sound listener will hear for themselves the rich musical details that went into producing this work. Run de duppy Arif....dem can't keep up.
Khadijo - Khadijo Music
At the end of Niyo's set, he brought out Abja, Army, and special guest Arif Anwar from Raleigh-based, The Anchants. Niyo and Abja performed a energetic collaboration tune that will appear on Abja's soon to be released second disc. Army sung upon the riddim of Ras Attitude's "All We Need Is Love" (which Niyo also sung upon earlier in the evening). And, The Man, Arif, came forward to freestyle about the seriousness of the V.I. Roots movement, much to the crowds' approval; there were quite a few folks after the show who asked me, "Who was that guy?"
